On March 11th 2010, Ryerson University became the first University in Ontario to make a commitment to eliminate the sale of bottled water on campus.
This historic commitment will mean an upgrade of water fountains, leading to improved access to healthy, public water on campus.
The Pledge commits Ryerson to becoming a bottled water free campus by 2013, but why wait until then? You can take action TODAY by making the sustainable choice.
Top two reasons to stop buying bottled water:
1. Bottled water is bad for the environment
2. Tap water is free
The Ryerson Students' Union is dedicated to creating a more sustainable campus community. With the help of the campus community and groups like the Green Action Group, we are doing our part to make Ryerson a bottled water free campus.
Let's continue to work together to ensure that the Ryerson community plays its part in protecting the environment.
